The Naturist beaches of the Costa del Sol and Andalucia.

The Costa del Sol, in fact, the region of Andalucia as a whole, has more naturist beaches than any other part of Spain, partly due to the outstanding climate, we guess. Anyway, if your looking for a Sunny place to get that all over tan, then look no further, the Costa del Sol is a Naturists Hot-Spot!

As a whole, Spain is quite a liberal country and it often seems southern Spain is the most liberal of all. Topless sunbathing on the beach is more or less normality in this region of Spain, the thong rules here for sure. However, if that last item of clothing is bothering you, then check out the Naturist beaches below!

Almayate Naturist Beach - Torre Del Mar.

On the lesser know side of Malaga, in the Coastal region of Velez Malaga (Torre del Mar), follow the Coast road to Almayate, until you see the sign for Camping Amanat. Then turn down one of the lanes that run towards the beach. You will find a delightful, rugged and natural beach that get's pretty busy during the summer months!

There is also a Naturist camp site that offers plots for your caravan or motorhome, plus log cabins, if your not really into caravaning! At the Torre Del Mar end of the Naturist Strip, you will find it is mostly occupied by gay men, then mixing up as it goes, untill the far end which is couples and familes.

Malaga Naturist Beach

Guadalmar Malaga

Just outside the Capital of Malaga, you will find the beach next to the mouth of the Guadalhorce River, in the San Julian area. This Naturist beach is mostly Spanish, but is very friendly and laid back, as long as you are OK with the noise of aircraft flying over from Malaga Airport! The beach, however, is a fair size and there are beach bars, showers and toilets provided.

Benalnatura Naturist Beach - Benalmadena.

A small, but well formed naturist beach located near to the Casino Hotel in Benalmadena, there are showers, toilets and a great little beach bar. The small, sandy beach is immaculate and it is 100% nudist, you can't even get served at the bar, unless your clothes are off!

Playa de la Dunas - Cabopino - Near Marbella.

If your looking for a long, sandy, popular naturist beach, right in the heart of the Costa del Sol, then head towards Cabopino and Playa de la Dunas (Beach of the Dunes). Coming from Fuengirola on the N-340 coast road, take the Cabopino turnoff, continue through two roundabouts and follow the signs for parking. Access is on the right.

We have also heard that this beach is sometimes used for "Dogging", in the early hours, so don't get caught there to long after sun-set, unless your were looking for that! During the day though, it's great for the whole family and has such shallow water, that it's pretty safe even for the kids.

Costa Natura - Naturist resort - Estepona.

The Costa Natura was one of Spain's first ever, exclusive resorts for Naturists, it's a village of White-washed Apartments, with a Swimming pool, Jaccuzzi, sauna and Steam room. It has it's own beach, designated for Naturists. Day passes onto the resort are available for visitors. To get there, turn off the N-340 after the roundabout with the large sign saying ‘Estepona’ and take the turning that leads down to the beach (about 1km).

Naturist Vera Playa

Vera Playa Naturist Resort - Almeria.

This is a very popular naturist resort with a huge beach and backed by 6 naturist urbanisations, plus Spain's only 4 Star, Naturist Only Hotel! Almeria is about 3 hours drive from Malaga Airport, in the opposite direction to Cadiz. This is an Idylic Naturists haven and one of Andalucia's very best!

The Costa del Sol also boasts several private resorts for Naturists, from Small tranquil holidays at Casa Patricia, to a Naturist Campsite and holiday resort, the Costa del Sol has it all! See our page on Naturist Holidays in Spain, click the link below ....
